Tour Itinerary 

Day 1: Arrive Beijing
Arrive in Beijing, the capital of China. You will be greeted and transferred to your hotel.

Hotel: Oriental Bay Hotel or similar

Day 2: Beijing
In the morning we tour the Forbidden City; a huge complex of palaces, pavilions, courtyards and gardens. Walk through Tian'anmen Square, the site of many history-making events. After lunch, visit the Summer Palace, located in a park full of charming pavilions and scenic views. This evening watch the famous Beijing acrobatic show. (B/L/D)

Day 3: Beijing
Today we visit the Great Wall; this man-made structure winds dragon-like across Northern China. After lunch, visit the Ming Tombs, drive by the Olympic Village. Tonight you will have the famous Beijing Duck dinner. (B/L/D)

Day 4: Beijing - Xian 
Fly to Xian in the morning. Visit the Ancient City Wall, and the Shaanxi History Museum, which boasts more than 370,000 rare cultural relics unearthed in Shaanxi. (B/L/D)

Hotel: Jianguo Hotel or similar

Day 5: Xian 
Visit the Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses, one of the world's great archeological treasures. After lunch, visit the Wild Goose Pagoda. Tonight, you will be served with dumpling banquet and watch the Dances & Music of the Tang Dynasty. (B/L/D)

Day 6: Xian - Chongqing   
Fly to Chongqing in the morning, visit Erling Park, and the Three Gorge Museum. Board the deluxe cruise after dinner. (B/L/D)

Cruise: Ms Blue Whale (outside cabin)

Day 7: Yangtze Cruise 

Your shore excursion today is to Fengdu, better known as the Ghost City. Return to the ship and set sail for Chongqing. Tonight enjoy the captain's welcoming dinner. (B/L/D) 

Day 8: Yangtze Cruise 

Today your excursion will take you on a drifting raft ride down the Lesser Three Gorges. You will enjoy the wonderful scenery of deep and quiet gorges, including waterfalls and magnificent peaks. Today's cruise will pass through Qutang Gorge and Wu Gorge. (B/L/D)

Day 9: Yichang - Shanghai   
Excursion to the Dam Project Site to visit the world's largest dam. Disembark in Yichang and fly to Shanghai. (B/L/D)

Hotel: Galaxy Hotel or similar

Day 10: Shanghai 
Today we tour the sights of Shanghai, China's largest city and most important commercial center. Visit Yu Garden, the Bund, People Square, the Nanjing Road shopping area. (B/L/D)

Day 11: Shanghai departure 
After breakfast, depart to the airport for your homebound flight. (B)
